The working pressure of hydraulic pump depends on the load of hydraulic press machine. If the load is zero, the working pressure of the hydraulic pump is zero. As the load increases, the working pressure of the hydraulic pump increases. The maximum working pressure of hydraulic pump is affected by the strength and service life of the pump. In order to prevent the hydraulic pump from being damaged due to the high pressure of the hydraulic press, measures must be taken to limit the high pressure. So in the actual operation of the hydraulic press machine, the highest pressure of the work shall not exceed the maximum pressure standard that the machine itself can bear. When the pressure of the oil suction chamber of the oil pump is too low, there will be insufficient oil suction. When the pressure of the oil suction chamber is lower than the air separation pressure of the oil, there will be cavitation phenomenon, resulting in gas erosion and noise of the internal components of the hydraulic pump, and the working pressure of the hydraulic press machine is unstable. Therefore, in order to ensure the normal operation of the hydraulic pump in addition to the pump mechanism design as far as possible to reduce the liquid resistance of the oil suction pipeline, but also should make the pump installation height does not exceed the allowable value range. And avoid suction oil filter and suction pipeline stroke too large pressure difference.

The hydraulic pump on the hydraulic press is usually divided into variable pump and quantitative pump. Under the condition of constant speed, the variable pump with variable output flow is the variable pump, and the quantitative pump with variable output flow is the quantitative pump.  Simply speaking, after the speed of the quantitative pump is selected, its flow and pressure are determined and cannot be adjusted.
