What is manual milling machine
In many metal processing, milling machines are widely used. Relying on the spindle to drive the rotary motion of the tool, a variety of surface machining are carried out on the workpiece. There are two operation modes: CNC programming and manual operation. Among them, the manually operated milling machine is called manual milling machine, also known as conventional milling machine. This kind of milling machine was first invented in the 18th century, with simple and convenient operation. During processing, turn on the power switch, the spindle rotates, and then shake the hand wheel to rotate. The hand wheel drives the lead screw to rotate. Driven by the lead screw, the workbench moves forward, backward, left, right and up and down. In order to improve the processing efficiency, the automatic feeding device can be installed, including mechanical type and electronic type. There is no need to manually rotate the hand wheel, and the auto feed device will automatically rotate the lead screw. A digital display can also be installed to display the moving distance of the workbench.
Manual milling machine is also put forward to replace the spindle speed. According to the needs of processing, different spindle speeds need to be set. The NC milling machine can automatically set the speed in the program, but the manual milling machine needs to break the speed regulating handle to rotate the speed. Generally, the spindle speed of manual milling machine is fixed, including 8 levels or other levels, with a maximum speed of about 1600 and a minimum speed of about 30. The spindle speed of turret milling machine is relatively high.
